The moon

and the sun

Tied by fate

but torn apart by time

Day and night

they lost the fight

Now I see

their sorrow,

a painful tomorrow

Till the day

heavens align them together

as one’s shadow

casts on another

The few minutes

that last till eternity

The sacrifice made

for amity

Solace and yearning

their story

Pure and painful

almost holy
